Who we are

EVER-GUARD is a security systems installer based in Harlow, Essex. For any question about this policy or the information we hold, contact k.smith@ever-guard.uk.

What we collect

We collect only what we need in order to quote for and carry out work:

• Your name, phone number and email address
• The address of the property the work relates to
• Details of the system and the work carried out
• Correspondence between us

Why we hold it

To quote for work, to carry it out, to honour the workmanship guarantee, and to meet our legal and accounting obligations. We do not sell personal information to anyone, and we do not use it for marketing without asking first.

How long we keep it

Records of installations are kept for the life of the workmanship guarantee and for as long as accounting rules require. Enquiries that do not become work are deleted when they are no longer needed.

CCTV footage

Where we install CCTV, the recorded footage belongs to the system owner, not to us. We do not retain copies of customer footage. If you operate CCTV as a business, or your cameras capture anything beyond your own boundary, you have your own obligations as a data controller, and we will cover those at survey.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Email us and we will deal with it.

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
