A business alarm is not just a bigger house alarm
The questions are different. Who opens up? Who locks up? What happens when a member of staff leaves? Does the cleaner need a separate code? Should the alarm send app notifications to one person or several? Can the downstairs be armed while a stock area is still being used?
Those details decide whether the system gets used properly after installation.

Codes that can change
Keys get copied and rarely come back. User codes can be deleted the same day somebody leaves, and individual codes make it clearer who set or unset the system.
Zones that match the building
Retail fronts, stock rooms, workshops, offices and yards are used differently. The alarm should reflect that instead of forcing everyone into one all-or-nothing routine.
Linked to the rest of the security system
Business alarms often sit alongside commercial CCTV, access control and door entry. Planning them together keeps the system simpler for the people who actually use it.
A straight boundary. We install audible alarms with app notifications. We are not NSI or SSAIB certified, so we do not provide police-response monitoring. If your insurer specifically requires that, you need a certified installer and we will tell you that before quoting.
Existing business alarm giving trouble?
If the system is already in but unreliable, start with servicing and fault-finding. A takeover, panel tidy-up or reprogramming can often solve the problem without replacing the whole system.
Frequently asked questions
Can each member of staff have their own code?
Yes, and for a business they should. Individual codes make handover cleaner when somebody leaves and help you understand who opened or unset the building.
Can the alarm send app notifications?
Yes, on suitable systems. We work with Texecom, Pyronix and Ajax, and set app notifications up with you before leaving.
Can you take over a business alarm already installed?
Usually. We inspect the panel, zones, users and signalling first, then tell you whether servicing, reprogramming or replacement is the right answer.
